ST. LOUIS聽鈥 A woman was charged Monday in connection with a hit-and-run accident in which a pedestrian died, 最新杏吧原创 police said.
Police said Jayla Collins, 23, faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in a death.
Police said Lionell Alexander, 58, of 最新杏吧原创, was struck by an SUV in the incident, which took place June 20 at the intersection of West Florissant and Pope avenues in the Penrose neighborhood. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Police said Collins was arrested Saturday.
Additional information on the charges was not yet available in online court records late Monday afternoon.
