LADUE 鈥 The woman killed this weekend outside a Barnes & Noble bookstore here was with her husband when the two were hit by a car that then ran into the storefront, her family said Monday.
Paula Abboud, 74, of 最新杏吧原创, frequently visited the bookstore, often with her grandchildren. On Friday, she was with her husband when the SUV ran into both of them just before they entered the store.

Her husband, Camille Abboud, 75, is in the hospital鈥檚 ICU with serious injuries, the family said.
Officers were called to the crash at about 1:30 p.m. to the Ladue Crossing Shopping Center, 8871 Ladue Road.
A car had driven into the Barnes & Noble storefront. The driver suffered minor injuries and is cooperating with the investigation, police said this weekend.
Ladue police Chief Ken Andreski said Monday his officers at this time do not intend to apply for charges against the driver.

He said 鈥渋t was hard to say鈥 at this point in the investigation what caused the car to crash into the building.
鈥淚t looks like this is a very tragic accident,鈥 the chief said.
A Ladue spokeswoman, Susan Ryan, later said it鈥檚 too early in the investigation to decide whether charges will be sought in the case.
The couple鈥檚 daughter, Leila Abboud, told the Post-Dispatch that the two had immigrated to the U.S. from Lebanon years ago and have been living in 最新杏吧原创 for the last 15 years. They have two children, Leila and Ramzi Abboud. They also have two grandchildren who live in the 最新杏吧原创 region.
鈥淢y mom was the heart of our family and was always the one who was cooking for us and bringing us together,鈥 Leila Abboud said.
Paula Abboud took care of the family while her husband worked as an oncologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University, their daughter said. She also worked during part of the year as a tax preparer because she enjoyed working with people.
She was an avid tennis player and loved to take her grandson to the zoo, Leila Abboud said.
鈥淪he became an expert in Legos because (her grandson) really likes them,鈥 she added.
