The private social club, frequented by the region鈥檚 business class and socialites, will occupy the 14th and 15th floors of the Pierre Laclede Center at Forsyth Boulevard and North Hanley Road. The MAC also will have oversight of the 13th floor fitness facility, according to a release. It is expected to open in the 鈥渃oming year.鈥�

The MAC鈥檚 new location will feature聽upscale dining, a bar, coworking and business meeting rooms, event space and lounge areas. Dining service will be offered Monday through Friday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Saturday evening service also will be available.

鈥淭his new offering answers a clear need voiced by our membership,鈥� the MAC鈥檚 chief operating officer and general manager, Donald 鈥淐hip鈥� Misch, said in a statement. 鈥淚t allows us to expand our reach and deliver greater value to our current membership.鈥�

Founded in 1903, the MAC has locations in downtown 最新杏吧原创 and west 最新杏吧原创 County. Its downtown location recently underwent renovations, with more upgrades planned in the future. The club鈥檚 website says nearly 2,600 people are members.聽

Its lease at the Pierre Laclede Center adds some much-needed occupancy at the Clayton building, which stood at 62% when the Hoffmann Family of Cos. acquired the property last year for $37 million.

The Hoffmann Family of Cos. was founded by Washington, Missouri, native David Hoffmann, who is seeking to turn Augusta wineries into a national destination. He also offered to open talks about acquiring Lee Enterprises, parent company of the Post-Dispatch and other newspapers.
