Hochman: How the Blues will honor accidental fan Ozzy Osbourne all year
Back in 1984, during the wee hours of Tuesday, May 15, a different Ozzy joined ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ lore when the rocker Osbourne wore a Blues shirt during a Memphis arrest for public drunkenness or, as Osbourne might’ve just called it, a Tuesday.
Ozzy Osbourne’s mugshot in a Blues shirt, so unintentionally iconic, has become part of the ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ sports fabric (literally — it’s on T-shirts). Decades later, the image is ever-present, from social media to bars to an entire wall at a Hi-Pointe Drive-In location.
The late rocker Ozzy Osbourne is tied to Blues' lore because he wore a team shirt in a 1980s mugshot.
'Nerve-wracking' trade rumors in the past, Jordan Kyrou eyes continued overall progress
In the final week of June, Jordan Kyrou tried to avoid the rumors and the rumblings, the whispers and the gossip. His name was in trade rumors, and all he had to do was wait until July 1 for clarity, because that was when his no-trade clause would kick in.
“Just go about my day,†Kyrou said. “Same day as every other day. Woke up, work out, skate, try not to look at anything.â€

With Olympics on the horizon, Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington looks to keep building
Brodeur. Hasek. Binnington.
By the middle of this season, Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington could find himself in the company of two of the best goaltenders in hockey history. All he needs is an Olympic gold medal in February, and then Binnington would become the third goalie ever — joining Martin Brodeur and Dominik Hasek — to win an Olympic gold medal game and a Stanley Cup-clinching game.

Milan Lucic to rehab injury in ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´, could sign another PTO with Blues
Forward Milan Lucic will remain in ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ to rehabilitate a lower-body injury, keeping alive the possibility of signing a contract with the Blues, general manager Doug Armstrong said Tuesday morning.
Lucic attended Blues training camp on a professional tryout hoping to earn a contract in ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ but injured his groin during practice Sept. 23 and returned to play the final three preseason games for the Blues. Armstrong said the Blues could sign Lucic to another PTO once he’s healthy.
Lucic can still sign a contract with the Blues, or the club can sign him to a 10-day PTO that would allow him to practice with the team but not play in any games.

Oskar Sundqvist out week to week with lower-body injury, Doug Armstrong says
Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist will miss at least the first three games of the regular season with a lower-body injury, general manager Doug Armstrong said.
Sundqvist suffered the injury during practice Sunday, and Armstrong said he would not play Thursday vs. Minnesota and would not go on the road trip to Calgary and Vancouver over the weekend.
Lucic can still sign a contract with the Blues, or the club can sign him to a 10-day PTO that would allow him to practice with the team but not play in any games.
Ellis was going to be the Springfield Thunderbirds' starting goaltender if the Blues would have been able to send him to the AHL.

Worthy: Blues wise to set last season's magical run aside, focus on fast start this year
None of the Blues’ wins or points from last year will carry over. They won’t count in this year’s standings. They won’t count on this year’s statistics. They’ll only count to an extent with the fans, insofar as they help create good vibes and energy entering this season.
After a long sports spring and summer in downtown ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´, those positive vibes certainly are welcomed. Hey, the Blues will take a 12-game regular-season home winning streak into Thursday night’s opener at Enterprise Center — 15 consecutive games if you include the three playoff wins.
Have a look at the ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Blues' 23-man roster entering the 2025-26 season.
Blues announce roster with season opener vs. Minnesota approaching Thursday
The Blues announced their 23-man roster Monday afternoon ahead of the NHL's 4 p.m. roster deadline — a roster that did not include forward Milan Lucic, who was in training camp on a professional tryout.
Lucic can still sign a contract with the Blues, or the club can sign him to a 10-day PTO that would allow him to practice with the team but not play in any games. But as of Monday's announcement, Lucic had not signed a contract with the Blues.
Blues No. 3 goaltender Colten Ellis claimed off waivers by Sabres
Goaltender Colten Ellis, who was set to be the No. 3 goalie in the Blues organization this season, was claimed off waivers by Buffalo on Monday afternoon.
Ellis was the team MVP at AHL affiliate Springfield (Massachusetts) last season and was going to be the Thunderbirds' starting goaltender if the Blues would have been able to send him to the AHL. Instead, Ellis will land in the NHL with Buffalo.
Blues hope Alexandre Texier can deliver consistency after keeping his spot on roster
Alexandre Texier finds himself on the right side of the bubble.
The Blues did not waive Texier on Sunday — which was the final day to waive players and still have them clear before Monday’s 4 p.m. roster deadline — a move that essentially guaranteed Texier a spot on ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´â€™ active roster. Texier entered training camp battling for a job and likely fits in as a healthy scratch when the Blues begin the regular season Thursday night vs. Minnesota.
