Smino and City SC designed the streetwear line, which includes elements like City's name, an image of Smino in a bandana, and a blimp with Smino's name on it floating over a stadium where 最新杏吧原创 is playing against the world.

"Fashion has always been a big part of my life, so I'm grateful to be able to collab with City SC for a great cause," Smino said in a statement. "It's more than just clothes. It's about representing 最新杏吧原创 and giving back to the city that raised me."

The products are from Zero Fatigue, the record label that Smino co-founded in 2014.

"This partnership with Smino represents everything City SC stands for: authenticity, creativity and community," said Matt Sebek, City SC Chief Experience Officer, in a statement. "Together we're proving that sports can intersect with culture in meaningful ways while also showing up for our city."

The collection is available at , and at the team's store, City Pavilion at 2118 Market St. The first 50 people to order an item from the collection will get a  bandana that Smino designed.

This is not the first time that Smino has partnered with 最新杏吧原创 City SC. He also worked with the team on Homegrown, a mentoring program for five up-and-coming 最新杏吧原创 acts. The acts performed at certain 最新杏吧原创 City SC events, were featured on the team's social media and more.

Smino rose to prominence in 2017 with the release of his album "blkswn." He's also released "N脴IR" and "Luv 4 Rent," gotten more than half a billion streams online and been called "one of hip-hop's most refreshing voices" by Pitchfork.

鈥淵eah, I don鈥檛 want the season to stop,鈥� said City SC interim coach David Critchley.

鈥淲e were in the process, and now the process gets to work,鈥� said midfielder Marcel Hartel, who scored twice in the first half and is now tied for the team lead in goals with nine. 鈥淲e can feel it in the team; we feel it on the field, off the field, that the process might be now everybody understands exactly what Critch wants from us. And of course, it鈥檚 sad that the season is over in two weeks, but we are looking forward. So I say it again: I hope Critch is staying and we can continue for 2026.鈥�

That City SC has hit its stride just when the games 鈥� for them, at least 鈥� matter the least is par for this season that spent much of its time under a dark cloud. The win did assure City SC will not finish with the worst record in the league and of finishing ahead of Sporting Kansas City. The win was the sixth for Critchley, which makes him the second-winningest coach out of the four the club has had in its first three seasons.

City SC, like most of the league, is off next week and then will close the season on Oct. 18 against Real Salt Lake. About the only tangible thing at stake is where City SC will pick in the MLS SuperDraft. It will finish 13th in the Western Conference and either 24th or 25th overall.

鈥淚 think we鈥檙e going in the right direction,鈥� Critchley said. 鈥淚 think we鈥檙e definitely hitting another gear. We鈥檙e starting to see now what I see Monday to Friday is just now starting to happen on the Saturdays as well. So unfortunately, one game left, but I hope against RSL is probably in that place where they鈥檒l be competing very hard. I鈥檓 excited for that challenge for the guys, and unfortunately, the season is coming to an end.鈥�

One key to the success of the team both on the road and in general is Hartel. He has four goals in the past four games, all of them coming on the road, and eight goal contributions in the team鈥檚 past eight games. He鈥檚 had a hand in eight of the team鈥檚 past 14 goals and is third on the team all time in scoring, behind only Klauss and Eduard Lowen, who have been with the team twice as long.

鈥淢arcel has grown at a great rate,鈥� Critchley said. 鈥淵ou definitely see the efficiency in his striking of fantastic goals and how he scores and the angles he creates for himself. He鈥檚 also finding those little pockets of space in the box, (like) for the second goal, so offensively, he鈥檚 helping the team impact those now with big-time plays. I鈥檝e always known the case has been there for him. It was just going to take time.

鈥淎nd then I have to give him a more sort of shout out: The way he defends now, the way he presses is exactly what I want to see from my central midfielder. So he鈥檚 been fantastic on both sides of the ball. He鈥檚 getting better every single weekend, and I鈥檓 excited for his future.鈥�

Hartel put City SC up 1-0 on a rocket from about 26 yards out, which was similar to the one he had against San Jose two weeks ago.

鈥淚鈥檓 not bad (from outside), but it鈥檚 not my main skill, I would say,鈥� he said. 鈥淏ut today in the warmup, I had the same shot from a similar area, so I got confident out of that and very happy that it worked out.鈥�

City SC couldn鈥檛 hold the lead, giving up a goal eight minutes later off a corner kick that it did not handle well, but at the end of the first half, Hartel put the team back in the lead. Klauss made a run, passed to Celio Pompeu on the left, who crossed into Hartel in the box. Hartel controlled the ball, moved to get that angle and finished with a shot on the outside of his right foot.

鈥淚 had no option,鈥� Hartel said. 鈥淚t was going very fast, and I had to react very quickly.鈥�

That goal changed the game. City SC had played well in the first half but was about to go into the dressing room at halftime tied instead of ahead.

鈥淲e deserved (to be ahead) in my opinion,鈥� Hartel said. 鈥淲e played a good first half. We played a not-so-good second half. But in the end, we fight for the three points. We don鈥檛 concede any goals in the second half. I鈥檓 very proud for the team that we fight the second half to not concede any goals.鈥�

In the past five games, City SC has allowed just six goals, and only one of them, in the Los Angeles FC game, came in the second half. The second half was a bit of a scramble, but the team has gotten much better at holding on 鈥� and it did exactly that.

Simon Becher added a goal three minutes into stoppage time, after Mykhi Joyner and Brendan McSorley both missed promising chances, to clinch it. It was the third goal of the season for Becher and his first since June 25 in what has been a frustrating season for him. Alfredo Morales assisted on that goal and Hartel鈥檚 first as he filled in for Lowen, who missed the game for personal reasons. It鈥檚 the first game City SC has won this season of the 15 Lowen has not played.

And then there鈥檚 the road. Going into the Montreal game on Sept. 13, City SC had two wins, 19 losses and 10 ties on the road in 2024 and 2025. Since then, it has gone 3-0 away from Energizer Park, with an aggregate score of 8-2.

鈥淵ou start to see now the back-to-back-to-back road wins,鈥� Critchley said. 鈥淎nd I think what I鈥檝e seen on the road from these guys is we鈥檙e efficient in how we attack, and we are very bought into the defending principles that I tried to establish with the group, and that鈥檚 what鈥檚 helping us win football games right now.鈥�

Too bad for them there鈥檚 only one left.

City SC, like most of the league, will be off next week and then will finish its disappointing season on Oct. 18 at home against Real Salt Lake. That will be on Decision Day in Major League Soccer, though there鈥檚 nothing left in the standings to be decided for City SC. Regardless of what happens against RSL, City SC will be 13th in the Western Conference.

It was disappointing week for Austin, which also lost the U.S. Open Cup on the Q2 field on Wednesday.

Hartel鈥檚 two goals in the first half gave him nine for the season, tying him with Klauss for the season lead. His 12 in his City SC career put him alone in third on the club鈥檚 all-time list, behind Klauss (24) and Eduard Lowen (16), both of whom have been with the team since its first game ever, in Austin.

The first goal was a familiar one for Hartel, coming from outside the box, just like his previous one, against San Jose. He was maybe a yard or 2 further out this time, but he again lasered a ball from up top that was unstoppable by Austin goalkeeper Brad Stuver.

The lead lasted only eight minutes before Austin tied the game with a header off a corner kick by Oleksandr Svatok. The ball just cleared Fallou Fall and Tomas Totland was trying to hold Svatok down but to no avail.

But in the 45th minute, Klauss made a run and dished the ball to Celio Pompeu on his left. Pompeu first-time the ball to Hartel in the box, who took a touch on the ball to get open and then shot with the outside of his right foot to beat Stuver again.

City SC was without Lowen, who was out for personal reasons. Alfredo Morales, as he has often this season, stepped in to his spot. Being without Lowen has been one of the toughest things for City SC this season. Lowen missed 14 of 16 games between March 30 and July 13, and City SC had no wins, 10 losses and four ties in the 14 games he missed.

City SC got Henry Kessler and Fall back at centerback, and Totland returned for the first time since July, with Conrad Wallem moving to left back and Devon Padelford being out of the starting lineup for the first time since he joined the team.

How much of that interim coach David Critchley will do is in flux, because even if the team can鈥檛 change its place in the standings, wins still resonate for a team that has had so few of them this season.

鈥淭he last couple of games, not the LAFC one, but the prior two games, I was able to find a formula where we won the game and were good but were able to get City2 guys in and get guys opportunities,鈥� Critchley said. 鈥淵ou have to find that balance. The one thing that no one inside these walls wants is to go out for the next two games and lose the last two games. So we want to pick up points. We want to be competitive, but also find opportunities as well, based on who is coming back next year, who are the young players that we feel like can be really good and impactful for the future success of the club. So it鈥檚 always just finding a balancing act. There鈥檚 no one formula where next week I鈥檓 not going to go super young and have the youngest lineup out there. It鈥檚 just going to be consistently finding opportunities.鈥�

Some changes may be out of Critchley鈥檚 control. City SC could be without midfielder Eduard Lowen, who missed practice on Thursday for personal reasons, with his availability for the weekend uncertain. (There was no update on his status on Friday.) Lowen missed 16 of 18 games between March 30 and July 13, and City SC had one win, 11 losses and four ties in that span.

If Lowen can鈥檛 play, Critchley鈥檚 options are some combination of Chris Durkin, Alfredo Morales, Tomas Ostrak and Seth Antwi.

鈥淚t does (leave a big hole),鈥� he said. 鈥淭hankfully, I鈥檝e been happy with the rest of the positions of the (central midfielders) this week specifically. I think Chris, Alfie, Tomas and Seth have all trained well. All four of them rotated into what I would consider the starting 11 for opportunities to get some reps in what we鈥檙e looking for tactically. So I feel like all four could be prepared. But no doubt, if we don鈥檛 have Edu, it鈥檒l be a missing piece for us. He has a massive impact on this team.鈥�

With a string of good results, Critchley had been sticking with the same lineup, with only the changes that were necessitated by availability. But coming off the 3-0 loss to Los Angeles FC, he has the opportunity to change things up.

One change apparently will be to bring right back Tomas Totland back into the starting lineup. Conrad Wallem had been doing well in that spot, forcing Totland to the bench. Once a fixture in the City SC lineup, Totland had played only 58 minutes over the team鈥檚 past nine games. At the start of the season, he missed four games with a hamstring injury, had recovered enough to get back into the lineup, but then suffered a separate hamstring injury and missed six games. When he was healthy again, he went back in the lineup, starting six of eight games, but they were not his best and was sat in favor of Wallem.

鈥淭omas will have a big feature this weekend, that鈥檚 what I鈥檒l say on that,鈥� Critchley said. 鈥淎s he went through his injury and came back in and got put into a position where the entire system and philosophy changed in the wide areas. Probably was one of the players that just took a little bit of time to adjust. But as of late, he鈥檚 been training very well. ... Going across the Montreal, San Jose games, we just found ourselves in a lead and where we didn鈥檛 want to rotate the back line in these situations when we had the lead and we had to then defend moments. So that鈥檚 out of his control, unfortunately. But what is in his control is how he trains, how he prepares. He鈥檚 been doing that very well for a few weeks now. So you鈥檒l see him featured in the next two games.鈥�

鈥淚t鈥檚 definitely been a difficult season,鈥� Totland said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 most of all because of how the body has been with both the hamstring injuries, it鈥檚 been a whole new thing for me and how to deal with that has been a new thing to learn. It鈥檚 nothing to hide that it hasn鈥檛 been the greatest of seasons. I haven鈥檛 gotten to play as much as I would have wanted. But it鈥檚 still a lot of football to play this year and next year. That鈥檚 what I鈥檓 focusing on.

鈥淚鈥檝e never had an injury that鈥檚 taken me out of a game for eight years up until now. So it鈥檚 been difficult. But that鈥檚 in the past now, and I look forward. I think it鈥檚 going to be good with some time off to reflect and get the body rested again, and then start building up to 2026 so I have a year there without injuries.鈥�

While Wallem has fit in nicely since being put at right back this season, he鈥檚 on loan from Slavia Prague and that loan ends at the end of the season. City SC has a purchase option, size unknown, in the loan, and that will be one of the decisions the sporting director, identity unknown, will have to make.

Center backs Henry Kessler and Fallou Fall are both expected back in the lineup.
