Brendan Donovan, Lars Nootbaar among Cardinals to have recent surgeries, team confirms
The lingering soreness that limited Brendan Donovan in the second half of the season and stemmed, he believed, from a nagging foot injury required recent surgery to address an abdominal tear that would also explain the groin pain.
Donovan had surgery to repair a "sports hernia," the team confirmed Friday.
