The Cardinals sent 8 prospects to the Arizona Fall League. Here鈥檚 how each did.
The last of affiliated baseball played in 2025 wrapped Friday with the conclusion of the Arizona Fall League, where eight Cardinals prospects played for the Glendale Desert Dogs.
Highlighted by right-handed starter Chen-Wei Lin, the Cardinals prospect group invited to the AFL also included right-handers Darlin Saladin, Randel Clemente, Tyler Bradt and D.J. Carpenter, outfielders Travis Honeyman and Miguel Ugueto, and catcher Graysen Tarlow.

The Cardinals cleared space on their major-league roster with a series of decisions Friday that allowed four players to become free agents, but that doesn鈥檛 rule out the possibility of exploring reunions.
Ahead of Friday evening鈥檚 deadline to present contracts to all unsigned players on the major-league roster, the Cardinals declined to do so for lefty John King, Yohel Pozo, and right-hander Sem Robberse. The Cardinals had previously designated reliever Jorge Alcala for assignment and also did not present him a contract 鈥 a move called 鈥渘on-tendering鈥 in the industry.

Cardinals' annual Winter Warm-Up set for 2026 return but in shortened fashion
A three-day event for several recent years, the Cardinals鈥 annual Winter Warm-Up will shift to a two-day event when it returns in January, the club announced Thursday.
The decision to shorten the number of days for the annual event comes after officials noticed the gradual decline in attendance on the third day, typically a Monday, and after fan feedback.

The deadline for teams across the majors to set their 40-man rosters and protect players eligible for this December鈥檚 Rule 5 draft is 5 p.m. Tuesday.
At the start of Monday, the Cardinals had 37 players on their 40-man roster following a series of roster moves earlier this month聽鈥 and a crop of Rule 5 draft-eligible players that includes former top draft picks and international signees.
