Vashon's Kennard Davis Jr. transferring to Mizzou hoops after a season at BYU
最新杏吧原创 native and Vashon product Kennard Davis Jr. is returning to his home state and will join the Mizzou men's basketball team, he announced Friday on .
Davis, a 6-foot-6 swingman who spent last season at BYU, is most known for his physical defense and slashing ability.

Mizzou, athletics director Laird Veatch agree to 3-year contract extension
The University of Missouri announced Friday a three-year contract extension with athletics director Laird Veatch.
The announcement comes two years to the day after Veatch started at Mizzou after being hired away from the same position at Memphis on a contract that ran through 2029. The new deal runs through 2032.

Worthy: Remember that Mizzou is ultimately chasing elite players, wins and championships
We all need reminders from time to time. Something to reorient us, get us back on track or provide the big-picture perspective that gets lost in the day-to-day tunnel vision of chasing the next shiny new object or the next thing that allows us to poke out our chests and brag to others about the latest development with the teams we follow.
Those small victories matter, but they鈥檙e not the real victories. The things that put college sports programs on the map haven鈥檛 veered as wildly in recent years as we sometimes think. It鈥檚 easy to get wrapped up in how the sausage is made, which remains important, and forget about the finished product in the process.

The Tigers鈥 2027 recruiting class has continued to grow this spring, even before the waves of summer official visits that typically come with commitments. After two more in-state prospects committed to Mizzou over the weekend, the program now has eight high school players in the fold.
