ST. LOUIS — A stretch of interstate through downtown ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ will be closed after a sinkhole opened in an underpass under the roadway, city officials said late Saturday afternoon.

Soil can be seeing sloughing off into a sinkhole caused by broken water mains near pier supporting an elevated section of Interstate 44. The interstate was closed in both directions so the pier could be checked.
