Mike and Karen Koehneman raised their three sons in the Chesterfield Valley, and that was great, but once their children were out of the house, Karen wanted to pursue buying a small farm.

Karen furnished this cozy conversational corner and a television space in the finished basement with a mix of old and new. She found the 1950s small glass table with a sheaf of metal legs at an antique store. The TV stand with its natural twig inset is a recent purchase from Carol House.
This is one of Karen’s favorite rooms – a breezeway. She likes to find succulents that are new to her and propagate them in this breezeway garden.
The finished playroom in the basement features a child-sized door that leads into a fun play space just for kids.
